French firm Cotty Vivant Marchisio & Lauzeral has opened an office in Dubai, spearheaded by a former founding partner of Brandford-Griffith & Associés (BGA), which was the first French firm that launched in Dubai.
Nigel Hartridge, who launched BGA’s Dubai office back in 2007, will head Cotty’s Dubai branch. The firm is targeting French clients investing in the Middle East and Gulf investors in Europe, and will provide advice on corporate and capital markets transactions and commercial disputes.
The Asia-focused firm opened an office in Singapore last year to add to its presence in Tokyo and Paris. Partner Fabrice Marchisio said that the Dubai office is part of a broader development strategy. “The Middle East …and Dubai, in particular, has considerable potential by virtue of its position in the region, its political and judicial stability and its strong economic growth in the medium and long term,” he said.
