Deal summary
·         $1.3 billion proposed IPO by PCCW into a publically listed business trust, the first of its kind in HK

·         If successful, dividends will be allowed to be paid by cash flow instead of earnings and will permit non-majority shareholder control

·         Reed Smith advised the issuer in a $2.1 billion privatisation proposal by Pacific Century and China Netcom in 2008, a deal ultimately blocked
