Clifford Chance has welcomed back securitisation practitioner Paul Chu from Credit Suisse First Boston.

Hong Kong-based Chu will focus on supporting CC's capital markets practice, particularly in securitisation and other structured products, in relation to cross-border transactions and PRC assignments.

Chu was most recently vice president of the Asian securitisation group at CSFB. Prior to that, he was with CSFB's legal and compliance department as an in-house counsel where his primary responsibilities included supporting the derivative structuring and the Asian securitisation groups.

Paul Kruger, head of CC's Asian capital markets practice, said: "We continually invest in quality people, which relates directly to the high quality of service we offer our clients. [Chu] will be a valuable addition to our team."

Chu was with CC between 1997 and 2000 and had been involved in various securitisation transactions in Hong Kong and Korea.
