DLA Piper has promoted corporate and commercial lawyer Giovanni Marino (pictured) to partner.

Marino has represented European companies and institutions in the Asia Pacific region across a wide range of sectors, including the fashion and retail industry and financial services areas.

Admitted in Italy and a registered foreign lawyer in Hong Kong, Marino was previously a partner at an Italian law firm, specialising in transactions carried out in the PRC, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand, and was seconded, on behalf of the Italian Trade Commission, to the Asian Development Bank (Private Sector Group).

He has also acted as advisor to the Italian Embassy in Vietnam and Singapore.
