Latham & Watkins LLP has represented BNP Paribas Peregrine Securities Limited as placement agent in connection with the US$162m global placement of shares of Yanzhou Coal Mining Company.

Hong Kong-based partner David Zhang led the firm's team on the deal, which included an offering outside the US under Regulation S and a private placement in the US.

Yanzhou Coal is a large Chinese coal producer listed on both the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange.
