Simmons & Simmons has raided the Hong Kong office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in order to boost its corporate department. M&A lawyer Wui Seung Chong, a senior associate at Freshfields, has joined Simmons as a consultant.

Widely experienced in direct investment transactions in China, Seung was based in Beijing for several years and has particular experience in the financial sector. He was previously seconded to the equity capital markets department of ABN Amro Rothschild.
