UK-based insurance firm
Kennedys yesterday launched its new Singapore operations. The office is headed by partners Robert Joiner and Julian Wallace.
The firm said that Singapore was a significant regional centre for insurance work, particularly following the opening of a branch of Lloyds and because many of the firm’s clients were running their business in Asia and the Pacific out of Singapore.
All of this, of course, prompts the same question we posed last month when US firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher announced its intention to open a Singapore office: are the good times back in Singapore?
