Suntec Real Estate Investment Trust has closed Singapore's largest IPO of 2004 in December.
The S$830m (US$506m) initial public offering of units, which were listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange, topped the recent IPO of info-communications provider StarHub. The SingTel rival raised approximately S$482m (US$294m) in October after underwriting commissions and other estimated offering expenses - including over-allotment.
Singapore-based partner Michael Sturrock led the Latham & Watkins team acting as international counsel to the issue's joint lead underwriters and bookrunners Citigroup, DBS Bank and Deutsche Bank. The deal follows the firm's role on the StarHub IPO, where it provided US law advice to the issuer.
