Mallesons dispute resolution partner Ashley Black is set to become a judge of the Supreme Court of NSW. Black will be sworn in as a member of the judiciary on July 4, 2011. He has been a partner with
Mallesons for 16 years, a career which has afforded him considerable experience in complex corporate and commercial litigation and he has also acted on numerous regulatory inquiries.
In addition to his position at
Mallesons, Black is an adjunct professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Sydney and a Visiting Fellow in the Faculty of Law at the University of New South Wales. Managing partner Robert Milliner wished Black every success at the bench.
