RayYin & Partners has announced that Zhou Jun has joined as a partner in Shenzhen. Zhou, who graduated from the University of Aberdeen, UK, has more than 10 years experience in foreign investment, cross-border M&A and WTO matters.
Zhou is proficient in Mandarin, Cantonese and English and prior to joining RayYin was a partner in Guangdong Wansheng, one of the largest Shenzhen local firms.
In the past few years, RayYin has expanded steadily. As a consequence of the merger with Guangdong Ruiying Law Firm in 2004, RayYin has two offices respectively in Beijing and Shenzhen. Recently, the firm launched a new office in Shanghai in response to the growing demand of clients in Yangzi River Delta.
"[The] Shanghai office will serve as a base for works focused on both domestic and international clients," said Zhou Yi, founder and chairman of management committee in RayYin. "Foreign investment, trusts, real estate and intellectual property protection are the main areas of advice we provide for foreign clients, while strategy planning is the key service we plan to provide for local private companies in the region."
RayYin’s expansion is an example of Shenzhen firms’ prominent growth in the past few years. Guangdong Guanghe has 41 partners, 220 associates and 100 legal assistants working from its Shenzhen, Zhuhai, New York and Dallas offices, has associated offices located in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong, and is already been among the top-tier firms in China. Other Shenzhen local firms, including SD & Partners, Shu Jin, and Sincere Partners & Attorneys, have also made great strides recently, both in terms of size of offices and number of staff.
