If obama is a right person..i think he can not go against outsouring. Its an Human right of a person either he is american business man or indian. Anyone can take his/her work where ever he wants from. Indian people are providing a quality work in a very lowest cost. I dont mean that american can no do the same.. But just because of differenct of americans & indian obama can not take the meal from indian's mouth & provide it to americans..Like me there are lot of people are working here in BPO/KPO's. They depends on that. I think there are lot of other things also where obama can do whatever he wants..If Martin Luthar was feeling about the guilty of Black & whitish people & he had a dream about the mixture of both then i dont think that obama will be againnst outsourcing because here in india 2 crore people are in the same field..

What Obama suggests is to give tax incentives to companies which support local workers in the U.S. and to penalize companies who do not. In the "free enterprise" system, companies can then choose whether to outsource or not, based upon their revenues. To do business in the American marketplace is a privilege, and companies should pay for that privilege. Taxes support the country in which that marketplace is located.

Obama is elected by the people of the US, very few CEO's but many workers voted. The president is obligated to look out for the welfare of the American public FIRST. Jobs in Ameriac, not jobs in India.

I appreciate the fact that the CEO's and stock holders want to make that extra million. However I am hoping that Obama keeps his promise to bring the jobs back to the United States, I remember reading where the Prime minister or what ever he called stated complaining about Obama and his promise to bring jobs back to the U.S. his response was what about India? I am sorry but what about India? or any other country including Israel, if the US falls what will India do? find more ways to take what jobs are left here. Obama heed this warning if you do not keep your word and bring the jobs back to the U.S. you will be a one term president this I promise.Remember it was U.S. citizens that voted you in, not those from India, China, South America nor Israel and we can and will vote you out.

Even though i am a Indian, i feel that the jobs in a country should go to the people of that country first. Outsourcing is a good option, but if there are people without jobs in the home country, how can jobs outsourcing to other countries be justified? Traditionally, it has been the policy of rich people to make themselves more rich at the expense of the not-so-rich.

Cut Senior Management Bonuses ChuckD | 11/12/2008
If Corporate America really wants to save money, don't outsource American jobs. Instead, the shareholders should insist on cutting the million dollar bonuses of those in charge. That will more than pay for the labor saved by outsourcing. In addition how many funds out there are funded by worker 401k programs. You cut employees in the US, they take their 401k to survive which puts downward pressure on stocks. If you have employees gainfully employed money goes into the stock market not out of it and everyone wins.

For the President, America must come first. to miore and rad yad | 12/12/2008
All Indian posters, you must understand, Obama, as president, must think first and foremost about American interests. Just like your government is supposed to think about Indian interests. If it is more in America's interest to keep jobs in the US (like it should in times of economic crisis) then he has a duty as President of the United States to do it.

It is his duty to choose a starving American over a starving Indian. If he can feed both, than by all means he must!!! But if there must be one or the other, He has the duty to feed the American, and your government has the duty to feed you before feeding Americans!

Don't hate Obama because he chooses the people who voted him in and he is duty bound to help to the best of his ability, over a people who, while as smart, and as eager to work, as anyone, are secondary on commitments. Just as i'd expect your government to take care of Indian interests before American interests, I expect Obama to take care of American interests before Indian interests.

The Outsourcing market is going through its bad phase. It has affected world's economy. The world's economy is affected by 11%, and has major impact on Indian economy. I think a legitimate step should should be taken to minimize the overall impact which could be beneficial to all.

That's what he said, and that what he'll do.. John Fordam | 07/01/2009
If he is to be a president of the people, then Obama's plans to remove tax cuts for companies outsourcing outside of the US will be done. Otherwise, his credibility will fall so hard since American citizens who built the US for the past 300 years are suffering economically and this is one promise they expect him to do.

Business and Outsourcing Shoaib Gill | 08/01/2009
The question is about future growth of businesses in the world. US is one country that has initiated outsourcing to cut costs and compete with companies who are producing same or less quality products on a much cheaper cost. This trend has emerged in European markets too and Obama's decision to either reverse or penalized outsourcing jobs will facilitate European and Asian companies to take over the market. If US companies are not growing then they will pay less taxes and may set their business focus to US only. Obama must think globally not locally. It seems like he underestimates the global market forces on the US companies operating globally.
