Bin Shabib & Associates, Fichte & Co, Habib Al Mulla, and Al Sharif Advocates have been voted the best domestic law firms to work for in the UAE, according to ALB’s Employer of Choice 2010 survey.
The online survey was conducted between December 2009 and February 2010 and sent out to more than 20,000 lawyers in the Asia-Pacific and Gulf regions.
In a result that came as a surprise to very few, international law firms were nowhere to be seen in the survey. Bin Shabib & Associates were the pick of the local firms in the UAE, favoured in the ‘quality of work’ and ‘compensation and benefits’ categories. Boutique firm Fichte & Co finished in second place on the back of strong voting in the ‘work/life balance’ and ‘quality of partners’ categories. Habib Al-Mulla came in third and mid-sized firm Al Sharaf Associates rounded off the top four in the region.
